| ENEMY
OF THE STATE
Directed by Tony Scott Basic plot outline: A political murder captured on tape, a chance encounter with an old friend, a NSA coverup, and a mysterious underground information broker are the catalysts for this fast paced film where "Big Brother" is always watching you. Will Smith has been framed and is on the run, with the intervention of sophisticated tracking devices and satellites. Review: Your typical commercial
action film, with a lot less laughs than they usually render, although a lot more thought
than they usually provoke. Some interesting concepts, with a whole lot of running going
on... There were good, sturdy performances from Will Smith and Gene Hackman (two of Hollywood's greats). An enjoyable film, yet with nothing too memorable about it. |
