| GET CARTER
Directed by Stephen T. Kay
Basic plot outline: Didn't really have one. Some lame two dimensional character decides, without any motivation whatsoever, to avenge his brother (that he had ignored for decades)'s death. Review: This is one of the worse films I have ever seen in my entire life. It wasnt even a mindless action flick -- those can be fun. This was simply mindless. Stallone looks like shit, and his acting is even worse. His character consists of a string of lame one liners, not even witty ones. The storyline has been done 1000 odd times. The film tried to redeem itself with fancy camera and edit techniques -- even these failed to save it, they just added to the overall tackiness. The film doesn't flow at all, scenes are jerky and bloody boring. The film's only redeeming features were Michael Caine and Rachael Leigh Cook, yet sadly they were not enough to save the lame and pathetic remake of the 1970's original. |
