| HIGH FIDELITY
Directed by Stephen Frears Basic plot outline: Rob gets ditched (yet again) by his current femalething. This catalysts a sordid self examinatory process about all his failed relationships. It's centred around his record shop, and coloured by his two motley socially inadequate assistants. The tagline : A comedy about fear of commitment, hating your job, falling in love and other pop favorites. Review: Slightly indulgent, but distracting enough to be enjoyable. Not for non-Cusack fans. (Both make an appearance in this one). One of those self-examinatory-but-best-be-quite-funny-so-that-no-one-falls-asleep-and-or-shoots-themselves film. I enjoyed it and it made sense, but it was nothing great or mind blowing. |
