Basic plot outline: Shrek, the ogre, is whisked out of his alienation and into adventure when his swamp is taken over by banished fairytale characters. The evil Lord Farquaad promises to give Shrek his swamp back, if he retrieves the mysterious Princess Fiona from the dreaded dragon that has her trapped in a castle.

Review: I thought this film was fantastic! It was not only funny, but also thorougly enjoyable. In the footsteps of Antz, it successfully integrates the adult and child comedy. The animation was superb, and the characters were really well done. A definite must!
