SIMPLE PLAN
Directed by Sam Raimi Basic plot outline: Three diverse characters, for the most part intellectually challenged, find a deserted plane with a bag full of millions of dollars inside. They devise a simple plan to keep the money if no-one claims it. Ofcourse, nothing turns out simple... Review: The B-Grade Cult Horror King Sam Raimi is back. This film is like a lesser version of "Shallow Grave" if you ask me. The characters and the acting was great, but the plot was thinly woven. Reminded me a lot of "Fargo" with all that enveloping pure white snow contrasting with the evil doings going on. It got nominated for a shit load of awards, but there isn't really anything here we havent seen before there. A big step up from "The Evil Dead" though... heheh |
